MakeCode Game Jam is a kid-friendly competition for game developers. A game developer is someone who creates digital games. These games can be played on mobile devices, the web, physical hardware, and more.

Children as young as 9 can participate, but they must submit their game with an parent/adult if they are under 13 years old.

This year's theme is prehistoric. This means, game developers can incorporate dinosaurs, fossils, paleontologists, sabertooth tigers, or anything else from prehistoric times.

Games should be submitted online by the deadline -- July 31, 2023 at 11:59pm. Good luck!

If you want a list of kid-friendly competitions we think all Boston moms should know about -- you can check them out here.
