Want a letter from the North Pole?

Your little one can write a heart-felt letter to Santa and get one back. The infographic below suggests starting with "Dear Santa," being honest about behavior, and jotting down a wish list.

The return letter (written by the parent, grandparent or caregiver) should be just as personal in highlighting all the wonderful things your child has done this year.

There's a 6-step process to getting your letter postmarked from the North Pole. You can view the easy-to-follow step-by-step tutorial here. And here's a recap of everything you need ...

  • child's letter

  • reply letter

  • writing utensils

  • standard envelope

  • larger envelope with postage

To make sure your little one gets their return letter in time, it's recommended to send the letters between November 1st and December 2nd. And if your little one needs a little encouragement to be a little kinder, there are adorable naughty warnings you can purchase online (affiliate link).

If you missed the deadline, Operation Santa is another Post Office program.
