History
The City of Boston Credit Union was founded by a Boston mayor, James Michael Curley, in 1915. According to their website, it was one of the first in the nation. Curley prided himself on getting things done. Since banks were ignoring the working class, immigrants, and diverse population - he created a credit union that would serve them.
